UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRADES.

Vintage clothing arrives at our warehouse in all shapes, sizes, and conditions. As soon as the deliveries are unloaded, our team of vintage experts begins the sorting process and evaluates each item to give it a VWC grade.

Sorting The Deliveries

Our deliveries arrive at our warehouse in Hull every 3-6 weeks. The team unloads the delivery truck and takes the bales to our warehouse facility. They then arrange each bale in categories and start the process for informing all the vintage customers we have a new delivery.

Our team of experts unloads and sorts each bale, and prepares them for hand-picking appointments putting them in categories for ease of use when selecting the vintage products.

Items that pass our quality control for all online and telephone orders are further inspected allowing the team to remove any further items that do not pass the QC checks ready for dispatch.

The unpacking team then give these items thier tick of approval and the item continues its journey and off they go with our courier partners DHL express next day delivery full tracked.

We make every effort to maintain objective standards while assessing the condition of vintage items. However, it's important to note that each item has a unique history that predates its arrival to us. We take care to accurately mention any specific flaws in the item's condition so that our grading team can evaluate it accordingly. However, for any flaws that may be subjective or difficult to describe, we are cautious and tend to grade the item lower, from A to B, due to our high quality standard. Our aim is to exceed your expectations by delivering items that are of the highest quality.

Expert Opinion

Our team of highly experienced grading experts have been working with vintage clothing for years, honing their skills and knowledge to ensure that each item is thoroughly inspected and graded to the highest standards. They meticulously check for any flaws or imperfections in the fabric, such as stains, tears, or discoloration, as well as any alterations that may have been made before the item arrived with us. This attention to detail ensures that our customers receive only the best quality vintage clothing, and that every item is accurately graded and priced accordingly.

Each item is checked by eye to inspect the overall condition and wearability which assist when a grade is given.

In some cases refrences to the actual item will be used to ensure the quality and authenticity is correct.

These notes are then passed to a second grader who will read the inspection sheet and agree or disagre with the intented grade.
